Ahoy Matey, All Pirates on Deck for Fun

 

The Gulf Coast Pirate Festival, replete with swordfighters, live cannon fire, mermaids, pirate magic, pirate music, gypsy dancers, contests, food, games, crafts and rides, is taking place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., November 10 and 11 and, at the Pensacola Interstate Fairgrounds. Admission is $10 adult/$5 children/free under 4. Costumed pirate zombies get in for half price. Weekend passes are available.

The Buccaneer’s Ball kicks off the fun in the Expo Hall, from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m., November 9, for those 18 and older, with a costume (required) contest like no other. Meet Captain Jack and hear live pirate music from groups like Drunk & Sailor, Everwas and others. Enjoy belly dancing, pirate related entertainment, door prizes, pirate karaoke with prizes, games and much more. Cost is $15/$25 couple (includes some refreshments). Cash bar.
