April Lee, DC, owner of Bluewater Chiropractic Wellness Center, in Niceville, has sold the practice to Letitia Smith, DC, who has been with the practice for the last year and a half, getting to know the patients and the community.

Lee, a longstanding health practitioner, says she will be moving to join her husband, a Marine Corps explosive ordnance disposal technician who has been stationed abroad.

“It’s been an honor serving this community, and it’s not easy to move from a practice that I’ve put my heart and soul into,” she says. “I’m sad, but I’m excited to be passing the torch to Dr. Smith. When I met her, I knew she was a perfect fit for our office.”

Smith, who graduated from Sherman College in 2018, says her philosophy and Lee’s are “the same—focusing on chiropractic as a lifestyle choice and a wellness philosophy. We love taking care of infants, children, adolescents, adults and prenatal patients with the same care and attention.”  

Educating and evaluating starts with the first phone call to the office, she adds. “Everyone is different, and this is not a cookie-cutter practice. We evaluate everyone from an individual perspective by performing a thorough exam and uncovering the root cause.”

Bambi Denais, DC, who has been with Bluewater for two years, will continue to practice there. She is the only diplomate in clinical chiropractic pediatrics in Northwest Florida.
