United Way Welcomes New Staff Member

United Way of Escambia County welcomes the newest member of its team, Rachael Cox, as marketing and communications manager. Cox will work with United Way to help kick off the 2011 Workplace Campaign.

“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside a very dedicated team of staff, volunteers and donors at United Way of Escambia County, who are all reaching for one goal: to give a hand up to help deserving families in this community we share,” says Cox.

Cox comes to United Way from her position as assistant communications director and volunteer services manager at Pensacola Habitat for Humanity, where she managed marketing and public relations for two of the organization’s ReStores and coordinated more than 8,000 volunteers each year. She is a graduate of the University of Florida, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism.

“We feel confident that Rachael’s experience at Habitat will prove to be an invaluable asset to United Way’s mission,” says President and CEO Andrea Farage. “She understands the needs of the community and is sincere in her desire to see lives positively impacted by the generosity of friends and supporters of United Way in Escambia County.”

United Way is building a team committed to serving the community and invites those that want to help make a difference to apply for one of their high-impact positions.
