Natural Awakenings Northwest Florida

It’s Junior League Marketbasket Time

The Junior League of Pensacola will conduct a time-honored tradition with its 24th annual Marketbasket holiday shopping event, from November 18 to 21, at the Pensacola Civic Center. The junior League invites Northwest Florida residents to, “Give back while stocking up,” from more than 60 merchants from all over the country, offering toys, beauty products, art, clothing, accessories, home décor, books, stationery, specialty foods and ornaments.

Santa will be on hand (or sleigh) for family photos and the Junior League will offer raffle drawings for an array of prizes. Advance tickets are $6 for adult general admission. Children ages 6-12 are $3 and 5 and under are free.

The League is throwing a Preview Gala party from 7 to 10 p.m., November 18, and the public is invited to don their holiday best, dine on hors d’oeuvres and be the first to shop the merchant floor during this festive night out. There will be a silent auction of items donated by merchants from around the country and locally. Advance tickets are $30 per person and $55 per couple ($35 and $65 at the door).

Marketbasket is the Junior League of Pensacola’s largest fundraiser. Proceeds fund various year-long programs which help to improve the lives of children in the foster care system in Northwest Florida. Guests are encouraged to donate an unwrapped toy to help make a foster child’s holiday bright. All tickets may be purchased from any Junior League member, at the Junior League office, through Ticketmaster or at the Civic Center box office.
