According to the U.S. Census Bureau 2010 American Community Survey, 7 million grandparents had grandchildren younger than 18 living with them, and it is important for them to receive support and assistance.

While seeking out other family members, clergy, support groups and social agencies can be helpful, the Council on Aging of West Florida sponsors a monthly support meeting the on second Thursday of each month. The group will convene next for dinner at 5:30 p.m. and a meeting at 6 p.m., January 10. Free, onsite childcare is provided.
