Herbalist Kathy Hubbard is beginning a five-week Back to Our Roots herbal certification course from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., May 4, on five consecutive Sundays at Old Thyme Remedies, in Pensacola. Hubbard is a graduate of Rosemary Gladstar’s Science & Art of Herbalism, and has studied and worked with herbs professionally for 12 years.

This empowering journey into the world of herbal healing allows students to take charge of their health using time-honored plant remedies and traditional uses of medicinal plants. Students will learn how the body works and about herbs that enhance those workings; make herbal preparations; and taste and feel numerous herbs in order to use them as food and nourishment for the body.
