Dental Bus Visits Children in Need

The Children's Volunteer Health Network (CVHN) Dental Bus recently visited the nonprofit Children's Neighborhood at Children in Crisis (CIC) to help the children living at CIC with routine care and dental problems that often occur when a child is abused, neglected or abandoned. Dental exams, X-rays, cleaning and sealants were provided for more than 20 children at no cost.

Ken Hair, CIC president and CEO, says, “We opened the Children’s Neighborhood in February 2008 and since then, we’ve provided a home to over 370 kids and have kept all of our brother and sister sibling group families together. Help from the CVHN Dental Bus really makes a significant difference in the health of our children.”
