Registration Begins September 6 for Lifelong Learning Classes

The Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL), a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization associated with Road Scholar (Elderhostel), has been offering classes in the Fort Walton Beach area for 20 years. Registration begins September 6, at the University of West Florida (UWF) Emerald Coast.

This fall, CLL will offer 60 course selections, and members that arrive early generally get their first choice of classes. The registration fee is $50, which allows students to take as many as four courses. Most classes are held on Fridays at the UWF campus and on Thursdays at Troy University, in Fort Walton Beach. Other classes meet at different sites in the Fort Walton Beach area on various days of the week. Most classes meet eight weeks; some double-session classes meet four weeks. Open to adults of any age, CLL non-credit classes are designed for personal enjoyment, with no tests or grades.

CLL invites speakers during the lunch hour each Thursday at Troy and each Friday in the UWF auditorium. These special events are open to the public at no charge. Individuals may bring their lunch and enjoy.

Location: 1170 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Fort Walton Beach. For times and more information, call 850-863-6548 or email [email protected]. To view the September 2013 catalog, visit cll-fwb.org.
