There’s Something for Ever’man at This Place

Stretching the length of Garden Street, in Pensacola, the newly renovated Café at Ever’man Natural Food features 100 percent organic vegetable juice and fruit smoothie bars, take-home pizzas, a hot food bar, a specialty cheese island, a huge mainly organic salad bar, made-to-order sandwiches and a bakery with great vegan cakes, cookies and dessert bars.
A new expansion is nearly complete, and the fresh meat and seafood department is already in place. Prepared Foods Manager Michael Kunkle and the staff are working on new, house-made menu items that are organic and healthy.
Fresh-squeezed juices and fruit smoothies, an extensive salad bar containing organic produce, hot entrees and sandwiches are made in-house daily. “We are growing rapidly, and I am looking forward to showing you what we can do!” says Kunkle.
The new meat and seafood department features fresh locally sourced, grass-fed, free-range meats, including beef, lamb, chicken and specialty items like bison, elk and venison, when available. Fresh seafood like fish filets, shrimp, mussels and scallops are also stocked. New Meat and Seafood Manager Sonny Porter is providing Ever’man customers with a wide array of choices, and he is looking forward to hearing ideas from them about selections they would like to see.
“Ever’man is excited to have a fresh meat and seafood counter,” says Porter. “We look forward to being able to provide our customers with the best selection of humanely raised meats that they have been unable to find elsewhere. I’m looking forward to making great sausages, providing grab-n-go items like marinated skirt steaks and teaching people about our offering of fine meats.”
Ever’man is open to members and non-members from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sundays. The Cafe opens an hour after the store opens and closes an hour before it closes.
