Individuals, teams and sponsors are invited to participate in the annual Doggie Bowl event put on by the nonprofit Pensacola Humane Society, a no-kill shelter for homeless cats and dogs, from 2 to 5 p.m., June 28, at Cordova Lanes, in Pensacola.

Teams of four to six people are assessed $20 per person, with shoe rental and five door prize tickets included. Grand prize winners will receive a trophy and a $100 gift certificate card for a team dinner. Others will receive three free games at Cordova Lanes. Other activities include door prizes, a 50/50 raffle, a team costume contest and a bake sale table. Mulligans, Buy a Strike, Buy a Gutter Ball and protection cards will be available for purchase the day of the event.
