Esther’s Garden of Healing is starting a monthly children’s series of workshops to educate and entertain the younger set. Children ages 8 and up are invited to participate in classes that teach a useful skill while incorporating a great time, including the Young Ladies Tea Party, from 1 to 3 p.m., July 12.

The girls will be making nutritious star fruit and cheese kabobs, “cookie dough” bites, and homemade chocolate, with instruction. The class culminates with using the masterfully created treats in an old-fashioned tea party. Parents are welcome to stay and watch or leave and pick up their child toward the end of class.

Each class has a limit of 10 children and is $12 per child. Following classes in this series include a Do-it-Yourself Body Care class on August 9 and a candle making class on September 20. All classes are completely hands-on and have a make-and-take project included in the cost.
