Julie Staats, a doctor of osteopathy and a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, has opened a patient-centered practice in the Courthouse Plaza at 4566 Highway 20 East, Suite 102, in Niceville, that includes infant care to geriatrics, women’s health, adolescents, sports physicals and annual check-ups. with an emphasis on preventative medicine and patient communication.

After retiring from 34 years in the Air Force, Staats is offering her medical expertise, opinions and recommendations to the community. She believes that patients should be heavily responsible for their own health and healthcare choices and goes to great lengths to empower them by including their input. Staats encourages alternative medicine components after obtaining a comprehensive history that includes the physical, social, behavioral, lifestyle, relational, spiritual and emotional aspects of the patient’s life.

“It’s all about you,” is her motto, and Staats is interested in forming true partnerships with her patients in an effort to keep them as healthy as possible, no matter the current state of their health.
