The Energy Expo, World of Discovery, will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., November 8, in DeFuniak Springs around the lake on Circle Drive, featuring experts in solar energy, geothermal, compressed natural gas, bio-diesel and wind-power energy.

    Green builders, contractors, government agencies, farmers and homesteading/self-sustainability experts will be available with residential and commercial exhibits and materials to explain their products and services. Some vendors will provide demonstrations and mini-educational sessions onstage at the amperitheater throughout the event. An electric motorcycle and a Telsa car will be on display.

    A farmers’ market will offer homegrown, homemade and handmade items for purchase and Shred-It will be on-site to shred sensitive information documents. Each individual may bring five boxes (50 pounds) to shred for a donation of a non-perishable food item to be distributed by The Matrix.
