Mar 27, 2015 06:59PM
A Musical Echoes Native Flute School intensive, featuring Dr. Michael DeMaria, Dr. Clint Goss and Vera Shanov, offers two days of workshops, presentations and music-making from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., April 23 and 24, at the Marina Bay Resort, in Ft. Walton Beach. The Musical Echoes flute festival will immediately follow the flute school. Each day can be attended separately.
Participants with all levels of experience on native flutes (even beginners) are welcome. The goal is to come away with the ability to play with confidence, get out of a musical rut and gain an understanding of rhythms, tones and improvisation. The focus is on health and healing, song composition and solo performing.
This workshops provide a supportive, inclusive, non-critical approach based on three decades of experience in humanistic music education, because experience and self-discovery form the best bonds with lifelong music learning.
Cost is $100 for each day or $169 for both. Location: Marina Bay Resort, 80 Miracle Strip Pkwy. SE, Fort Walton Beach. For more information, visit NativeFluteSchool.com/menfs15.
