Hot Yoga Om Offers Radiant Infrared Heat

Hot Yoga Om has opened at 222 Miracle Strip Parkway Southeast, Unit A, in downtown Fort Walton Beach. Laura Tyree, owner of Dragonfly Yoga, has partnered with Felicia McQuaid, owner of THE Healing Clinic, to combine yoga with infrared heat. Both have been inspiring and teaching others for more than a decade throughout the Emerald Coast. As an introductory offer, the first class is $5.

This radiant energy is the same kind we receive directly from the sun, not an artificial heater using a coil or flame. Far-infrared heat is absorbed by the skin and heats the body from within. “We believe this practice will draw in the next generation of yogis,” says Tyree. “It challenges the body, strengthens the mind and opens the radiant heart.”

Hot Yoga OM offers classes for all levels at a temperature selected by the instructor between 90 and 105 degrees. There are no mat rentals, but an inexpensive yoga mat can be purchased there. Other requirements include a large towel, a dry shirt and drinking water.
