East of Eden Retreat and Spa, in Santa Rosa Beach, will host an all-day Joy Workshop Retreat with Felicia McQuaid and Laura Tyree from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., September 12. The premise is that Joy is more than mere emotion, it is a spiritual consciousness and understanding. The energy of Joy is even more powerful than pain and heartbreak as a means to learning, living and loving life in new and dynamic ways.

The morning session will be a lively practice and discussion on how to grow through joy, celebrate ourselves and our lives, turning perspectives upside-down and inside-out. The more introspective afternoon session will explore the joy that is within each of us. Participants will experience the joy of being, slow down and come into into the meditative grace of joy, moving in spirit to “In-Joy.”

A catered lunch will be provided by Raw & Juicy and there will be time for the pool, hot tub or spa treatments, scheduled directly with East of Eden Retreat and Spa.
