Hippie Festival Returns to Fort Walton Beach

The annual Hippie Festival Summer Solstice Celebration will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., June 18, at the Intuitive Spiritual Center in Fort Walton Beach. On this day of music, storytelling, poetry, singing and mingling, participants are encouraged to wear their best hippie threads and dreads and bring stories, poem, pictures, songs, guitars, drums, tambourines and a white T-shirt to tie-dye. There will be food available, with the Red Bag Food Truck on site.

The tie-dye workshop begins at 2 p.m., followed by a groovy threads contest at 4 p.m. Hula-hoop challenges, emotional release sessions, psychic readings and the John of God Light Bed are highlights of the day’s festivities. No drugs or alcohol are allowed, and attendees under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

The festival is seeking additional vendors to participate in this classic event.

Admission is by donation. Cost varies for vendor services. Location: Stone Soup ISC, 700 NW Pkwy., Fort Walton Beach. Potential vendors and guests may call 850-533-6565 or visit IntuitiveSpiritualCenter.org for more information.
