Interactive Art and Music Event Focuses on Unity

The third part of Curated Compassion, an art and music series designed to inspire the sharing of ideas and passions, will be held October 1 at First City Arts Center in Pensacola. Curated Compassion is divided into four themed parts. The first two themes were Compassion and Tolerance, and the third theme will be Unity.

Participating artists will construct 15-by-18-foot installations to convey the theme, inviting viewers into those spaces to invoke the feeling of unity through the interactive art.

A portion of the proceeds of each part of the series benefits a different local organization that serves our community, says event organizer Ric Kindle. “Our benefactor for the upcoming Curated Compassion #3 Unity show will be Children's Home Society of Florida,” he says. “We are very excited to be working with this organization, which does so much for those who need it most.” For more information about Children’s Home Society Services, visit chsfl.org.

The entertainment lineup includes Nick and the Ovorols, Jeff Glickman and the Panhandle Allstars, Plastic Apparition (Jacob Price), Kristen Elizabeth Long, Todd Adams with live painting by Dagny, and comedian Olivia Funny Pants. Set times will be posted on Curated Compassion’s Facebook page.

Admission is a $10 donation at the door and includes light refreshments. For more information, visit Curated Compassion on Facebook.
