Yoga Retreat to “Best Secret Island on Earth”

Kathy Tabb and Willow Conolly of Navarre Living Yoga will lead a yoga retreat to Eleuthera, Bahamas from November 29 to December 5. The retreat will feature daily yoga, meditation and reiki as well as individual healing sessions on what Travel and Leisure Magazine recently called “the best secret island on earth.”

The extended nature of a retreat allows for a relaxed but profound healing experience, Tabb says. “Yoga retreats are a way to both reset the body and nervous system and build up a reserve for combatting the daily grind,” she says. “By getting away and changing the environment and letting go of cell phones, schedules and the fast pace of life, we allow our bodies to experience a deep healing and nurturing that is sorely needed in our lives today.”

Like most yoga retreats, she says, this one is set in a beautiful, calm, natural environment to help soothe and quiet the mind and body. Eleuthera is a thin, 100-mile-long island with the Caribbean Sea on one coastline and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. It is continually named as one of the top beaches in the world.

While the setting is tranquil, it also provides the opportunity for adventure, Tabb says. “You can spend the entire vacation doing nothing but practice yoga, walk the pink sand beaches and relax by the pool, or you can create daily adventures on both land and sea. What’s nice about yoga retreats is that they’re usually fully inclusive, so you don’t have to fret about the details.”

Included in the price is all lodging, meals and island excursions; all transportation on the island; daily yoga, meditation and reiki; and individual healing sessions. Airfare, snorkel gear, optional excursions and alcoholic beverages are not included.
