Ganguli Music & Art Fest Benefits Music Majors

The second annual Ganguli Music & Art Fest—a family-friendly, no-alcohol event featuring local bands, food and local artists—will be held on the grounds of the Crystal Cottage in Panama City from 3:30 to 10 p.m., November 5. All proceeds from this year’s festival will be donated to the Joseph Robert Kinch Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Awarded through the Bay Education Foundation, the Joseph Robert Kinch Memorial scholarship was created to help students studying music in college. Kinch was one of the founders of Ganguli, and his band, The Seems, was a big part of the local music scene. He was a section leader in the marching band at A. Crawford Mosley High School, from which he graduated in 2015. He was a freshman at Troy University, majoring in music industry, when he passed away unexpectedly in December 2015.

The festival ground at the Crystal Cottage (7338 Hwy. 2301) opens at 3 pm. Admission is $7.
