Discover Healing through Trauma Sensitive Yoga
Jan 17, 2017 05:34AM ● By Kim DeMoss
Healing begins the moment you decide to take that first step toward recovery. Studies have proven that meditation and the physical practice of yoga help improve your ability to move past traumatic events. In this class, you'll learn how trauma gets stored in the body, and how yoga is effective at releasing these deeply ingrained pathways through body and breath awareness and self-guided movement. It will challenge not only your body, but your mind as well.
Kim DeMoss began her journey with yoga in 2008, while living overseas. She loved how it can bring peace and balance to the mind. In 2012, her love of yoga took her to pursue her 200-RYT certification. In 2015, she completed her 100-hour YogaFit for Warriors yoga program, specialized yoga for people suffering from traumatic events, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or traumatic brain injury (TBI) or for addiction and recovery. Kim is passionate about making yoga more accessible to everyone and providing an alternative pathway to healing.
