Insanity Fitness

Jan 17, 2017 05:34AM ● By Kim DeMoss

Research published in the American Journal of Physiology—Endocrinology and Metabolism shows that irisin, a hormone released during moderate exercise, helps convert calorie-storing white fat cells into energy-burning brown ones. Insanity Live is a challenging, group-focused athletic training and cardio conditioning. It includes total-body strength drills designed on a fitness model called "max interval training" and uses your own body weight to build and condition your entire body. The moves are easy to follow, but the workout will challenge you, change you and get you in the best shape of your life. You don't have to be an athlete or extreme fitness enthusiast to join in. Everyone starts somewhere, and this class is designed to support all levels, from beginners to advanced, so you get an incredible workout no matter where you're starting from.

Kim DeMoss has been a part of the health and fitness industry since 2012, when she began as a yoga instructor completing her 200-RYT training through YogaFit. She fell in love with high-intensity cardio workouts when she completed the home DVD version of Insanity and completely transformed her fitness level. She then began teaching Insanity Live because of the community and camaraderie it brings. Kim currently teaches Insanity Live at the Betty Pullum YMCA in Navarre, Florida.
