Natural Awakenings Northwest Florida

Women Invited to Explore and Celebrate Feminine Consciousness

The Gulf Coast Grandmothers will host their annual three-day gathering—where women of all ages and from across the United States come together to share their wisdom, creativity and power—April 3-6 at Camp Beckwith in Fairhope, Alabama. This year’s theme is The Spiritual Journey of the Heart: Guided by the Sacred Feminine.

The gathering was created as an opportunity for women to meet and connect with each other for inspiration and guidance through daily circles, workshops, meditation, music and healing arts. Among the participants this year are crystal bowl sound therapist Susannah Furr of Oxford, Mississippi, and Rhonda Gaughan of Gonzales, Louisiana, an internationally known teacher and guide for transformational life change.

The Gulf Coast Grandmothers is a collective of women of all ages who embrace the archetype of the loving, wise grandmother. They gather yearly to reflect, rejoice and renew their spirits together, embodying unconditional acceptance and fulfilling the ancient prophecy "When the grandmothers speak, the Earth will heal."
