Wellstock Festival Celebrates

Wellstock, a festival focused on caring for the self—mind, body and spirit—will be held November 4, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., at the Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village in Destin. Festivalgoers can visit the Vendor Marketplace, Fitness Park and Nutrition Garden; attend workshops and presentations; enjoy music, art, games, giveaways and healthy foods and beverages; and participate in a silent auction and a Yogathon.

Tickets are $10 at the door and free for children aged 12 and under, with proceeds benefiting local nonprofits Shelter House and Alaqua Animal Refuge.

Maurice Hunter, founder of the evolfleS (Selflove) organization, which organizes Wellstock, says he was inspired to create the kind of event he would love to attend. “Wellstock takes the wellness event concept to the next level,” he says. “With a full day of interactive experiences for people to be inspired, gain knowledge and empower each other to expand their practice of wellness and self-love, Wellstock is a nonprofit community event unlike anything you've ever experienced.” He describes his vision of the event as “a grand collective celebration of self-value and self-care that includes minds, bodies and souls of all ages.”

Healthy living professionals will offer merchandise, services and various activities, and yoga instructors from Fort Walton Beach to 30A will donate their expertise to the Yogathon, a full day of classes including Family and Kids Yoga, Self-Love Flow and Kundalini.
