Bonnie McLean, a doctor of Oriental medicine who practices in Pensacola, will be signing her newly published book, Integrative Medicine: The Return of the Soul to Healthcare, November 3, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Page & Palette, in Fairhope, Alabama. The book signing will correspond with the First Friday Art Walk in downtown Fairhope.

Integrative Medicine, published by Balboa Press, is both a research-based explanation of this East-meets-West approach to health and the story of how McLean transformed her own physical, mental and emotional health by adopting natural mind-body-spirit practices rooted in ancient and indigenous healing. 

“Integrative medicine certainly dances between the worlds of allopathic medicine, natural medicine, and quantum medicine,” McLean writes. “It incorporates the wonderful technology, diagnostic tools, and lifesaving procedures and surgeries of Western medicine with energy medicine, natural approaches to health, and the touch of the healer. I think it would be fair to call it a ‘medicine of the in-between.’”
