Natural Awakenings Northwest Florida

Women’s Gathering Explores and Celebrates Feminine Consciousness

Every year, the Gulf Coast Grandmothers host a three-day gathering where women of all ages, from across the United States, can share their wisdom, creativity and power. This year’s gathering, scheduled for March 22-25 at Camp Beckwith, in Fairhope, Alabama, will focus on “the authentic woman.”

With the theme “Be Brave, Be Strong, Be You! Claiming Your Authentic Voice,” the event will provide women an opportunity to meet and connect with each other for inspiration and guidance through daily circles, workshops, meditation, music and healing arts, sharing laughter, tears and more, says Carolyn Garbett, registrar for the Gulf Coast Grandmothers.

“Who is the authentic woman? She’s me. She’s you. She’s every woman who desires to enter the realm of reawakening to their greatest truths, embraced by the sacred feminine,” Garbett says.

A collective of women of all ages, the Gulf Coast Grandmothers embrace the archetype of the loving, wise Grandmother, she says. They gather yearly to reflect, rejoice and renew their spirit together, embodying unconditional acceptance and fulfilling the ancient prophecy “When the grandmothers speak, the Earth will heal.”
