Natural Awakenings Northwest Florida

A New Year for Natural Awakenings

Scott & Daralyn Chase

After several years of capturing our memories digitally, I’ve realized that my home is filled with outdated family photos. Gone are the days of reminiscing through photo albums and giving framed photographs to family members. My son Payton’s girlfriend recently asked me for some of my favorite pictures of him, because she wanted to make a collage of the two of them through the years. Well, I say “recently,” but I’m embarrassed to admit that it was actually six months ago, and I still have not printed any photos for her.

And there’s my New Year’s resolution: I’m ready to bring back life again in print. Sometimes it’s just nice to view something that is not on a screen.

Coincidentally, that’s one thing we hear from our readers all year long. So, while 2019 will be a year of change for Natural Awakenings in many exciting ways that make the most of technology, I’m happy to report that our print edition is here to stay.

We are excited to bring back Wellness Rocks Naturally—live and online. Beginning in March, wellness practitioners and service providers in our natural and conscious living community will come together for networking, educational presentations and other synergistic efforts to make our communities healthier and more sustainable. These monthly events will feature intriguing Q&As that will be provided in print the following month. Our website is changing too, with a revitalized online directory we are excited to showcase. But as always, you can make sure you never miss your favorite magazine in print when you sign up for a monthly subscription to Natural Awakenings, for just the cost of postage and an envelope.

As Natural Awakenings celebrates its 25-year anniversary, it continues to evolve, yet we will always imagine our readers relaxing, disconnected from distraction, embracing the pleasure of reading the magazine off-line.

One of our greatest pleasures every year is connecting with our readers in person at our annual Holistic Health Expo on the Emerald Coast. For 2019, we’re moving the expo from the spring to the fall, September 6 and 7, so make sure to mark those dates on your calendar. We’ll see you there!

We appreciate you, and thank you for continuing to support the advertisers who make this free publication possible. May Natural

Awakenings always inspire you to live a peaceful, balanced life.

Happy New Year!
