Wellness Unplugged Expo Set for February 20

Feb 01, 2021 12:30PM ● By Daralyn Chase

The Wellness Unplugged Expo will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on February 20, hosted by the Palms of Destin Resort and Conference Center. Event organizer and producer Marie Schulte says the expo provides opportunities to “plug into fresh, smart, creative, fun ways to connect our minds, body, heart and soul in a whole-life connection.”

Among the participating vendors and professionals will be local artisans, organic food and cooking experts, holistic practitioners, sports and strength-training professionals, experts in natural and noninvasive anti-aging treatments, hormone replacement specialists and cosmetic dentists. There will be various interactive demos and workshops, as well as

more than $3,000 in raffle prizes and giveaways.

All proceeds from the raffle and partial proceeds from admission will be donated to the Fisher House of the Emerald Coast, at Eglin Air Force Base. The Fisher House provides a “home away from home” for military families so they can be together during a member’s treatment for serious illness or physical or occupational therapy. It’s within steps of the base hospital and veteran’s clinic.

“We want to help local businesses connect and foster goodwill in the community,” she says. “Also, it’s important that we support our military and bring awareness about the Fisher House to the community. People are healthier and happier when they are connected to the community.”

The Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) will be at the expo with pets to adopt, and OneBlood (the local blood bank) will be doing Covid-19 antibody screening. Donors will receive a $10 e-gift card. To schedule a blood donation visit

Expo sponsors include CRYO850, Natural Awakenings of Northwest Florida, Clean Eats and Aroma Tantra.
