Natural Awakenings Northwest Florida

Pensacola’s Earth Day Comes to Bayview Park April 23

Earth Day Pensacola is currently accepting applications for sponsors and vendors who would like to participate in its 32nd annual Earth Day festival, which will be held April 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bayview Park. The festival, which draws thousands of attendees every year, showcases sustainable living through a day of environmental education, art, live music, local food, green products and hands-on activities.

“Earth Day Pensacola is an annual event where the people of Northwest Florida get together to celebrate the earth in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere,” says Christian Wagley, Florida-Alabama coastal organizer for Healthy Gulf. “There will be live music, a sustainable art show, food vendors, a children’s area and many different information booths on how members of the Pensacola community can live more sustainably. The public is invited to be a part of Earth Day and help write many more victories and successes into Earth Day history. Participants can discover energy they didn’t even know they had, and channel it into building a clean, healthy, diverse world for generations to come.”

Earth Day Pensacola is part of a larger effort with Earth Day Network, which has developed ways for individuals, families, businesses and organizations to become engaged at the national and international levels to make an impact on helping to save the earth.

Location: Bayview Park, 2001 E. Lloyd St., Pensacola, FL. For more information, email [email protected] or visit
