The fourth annual Pensacola VegFest, a vegan food and music festival, will take place April 9, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Gulfside Pavilion at 20 Casino Beach Boardwalk on Pensacola Beach. The family-friendly event will offer live music, specialty foods and shopping.

Organizers say they created the festival to normalize veganism, educate the curious and introduce people to cruelty-free eating. Among the many types of vegan foods being offered are traditional American, Indian, Brazilian and Ethiopian, as well as traditional festival food, soda and desserts. 

The festival will also host vendors selling clothing, jewelry, natural soaps and locally made specialty candles. Nonprofit organizations will have booths at the festival too, including animal sanctuaries. There will be free scheduled activities throughout the day, such as beginner, intermediate and advanced yoga, and a children’s area that will offer face painting, coloring tables and other activities.

Guests are encouraged to stop by the welcome booth at the festival entrance to pick up educational flyers, food and entertainment coupons and free food samples. Raffle tickets will be available for $2 each; all items will be raffled throughout the day.
