EcoKids Environmental Event Returns to Pensacola
Pensacola’s third annual EcoKids event will take place on October 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cordova Square. This free, family-friendly event aims to educate children about sustainability through fun and interactive activities. Combining art with environmental education, EcoKids offers hands-on experiences for children of all ages, including yoga for kids, upcycled art projects, an animal puppet parade, and much more.
“We’re thrilled to be hosting our third annual event,” says Ric Kindle, lead organizer from Earth Day Pensacola, the group behind EcoKids. “We’ve introduced a lot of new activities this year, making it even more enjoyable for children to learn about ecology and sustainable living.”
In addition to the activities, local musicians will perform live throughout the day, and children and families will have the chance to interact with local farmers and learn about organic practices and sustainability.
This year, EcoKids will share Cordova Square with the Pensacola Arts Market, a monthly event showcasing local vendors featuring handcrafted and eco-friendly products ranging from art and personal care to food.
Cost: Free and open to the public. Location: Cordova Square, 1101 N. 12th Ave., Pensacola. For more information, visit EcoKidsPensacola.com.
