East Hill's Bands on the Bayou Raises $45,000 for Local Charities

The East Hill Neighborhood Association (EHNA) announces that the 2024 Bands on the Bayou concert series raises $45,000 to support six local nonprofits. This year's event, which featured live music to strengthen community ties and support charitable causes, continues the series' mission of fostering unity and giving back. Funds are distributed equally among Bike Pensacola, Dixon School of Arts & Sciences, Pensacola Children’s Chorus, Rally Foundation, Survivor-Led Solutions, and Upward Intuition, each dedicated to improving the Pensacola area.

Lauren Gund, Chair of Bands on the Bayou, expresses gratitude: “We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our sponsors and community partners. Raising $45,000 this year speaks volumes about the dedication of our local businesses and residents to making a difference in our community.”

At a check presentation on November 7 at the Bayview Community Center, EHNA President Donna Dickey, along with City of Pensacola representatives and the nonprofits, gathered to celebrate the milestone and thank those who made the concert series a success.

Bands on the Bayou invites nominations for the 2025 concert series' nonprofit recipients. Applications are open until February 28, 2025. The 2025 concert series will be held on May 23, July 25, and October 3.
