16th Annual Penguin Plunge’n Paddle Makes a Splash for Charity
On January 1, 2025, the 16th Annual Penguin Plunge and Paddle will make a splash at Juana's Pagodas in Navarre. The event promises a day of icy thrills and community spirit, featuring a daring plunge into chilly waters and an exhilarating paddleboard race. Proceeds will benefit local charitable organizations committed to uplifting the community.
“This event is about more than just braving the cold—it’s about uniting for a cause,” says event organizer Jamie Waters. “Every person who jumps, donates, or cheers from the sidelines helps us make a positive impact together.”
The Penguin Plunge and Paddle has become a beloved tradition, attracting participants eager to face the cold while raising funds for charity. Guests can look forward to live music, delicious food from local trucks, and family-friendly activities. Creative costumes are encouraged, with prizes awarded for the most imaginative outfits.
“Taking the plunge is a powerful show of solidarity,” long-time participant Laura Smith remarks. “It’s a fun and memorable way to start the year while giving back.”
The event will occur at Juana's Pagodas, 1451 Navarre Beach Causeway, Navarre, from noon to 4:00 p.m. for more details, visit Eventbrite.
