Festival for Art Lovers
The 39th annual Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., November 4 and 5, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., November 6, in Pensacola’s Seville Square. The festival is centered around a juried art show, featuring 225 artists from 32 different states.
Guests will also enjoy music and dance performances, student art exhibits and a special, hands-on children’s area. Treasurer Craig Perrigo says the festival brings in an average of $12-15,000, and because Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival Inc. is a nonprofit organization, all net proceeds are returned to the community in the form of grants to other local nonprofit groups. The festival organization also awards around $5,500 annually in scholarships to art students at the University of West Florida and Pensacola State College.
