Warm Up with Kangoo Jumps

Dec 03, 2013 07:03PM ● By Amanda Olney and Susan Clark

As the winter and holiday festivities commence, everyone seems to be searching for a way to get the most out of their workout. Kangoo Jumps makes it feasible to protect the joints and the spine while getting the aerobic workout necessary to lose weight, strengthen the heart and prevent injury.

Aerobic exercise is necessary for cardiac health and weight loss, but can be hard on the joints. The movements associated with aerobic exercise can also create extra compression on the spine, so the trick is to find a way of getting an aerobic workout without causing stress or injury to the natural shock-absorbing system of the body.

Kangoo Jumps solves this issue by reducing the shock that individuals experience by 80 percent when performing an aerobic exercise such as running or jumping. The chronic fatigue associated with an aerobic exercise originates when the foot strikes the floor. The boot worn in Kangoo Jumps classes is constructed to cushion the movement and give the wearer rebound.

The boot also promotes proper posture while the individual wearing the boot maintains balance during the aerobic exercise or running. The rebounding movement, while wearing the Kangoo Jumps, positively affects the health of the spine and the intervertebral disc (the discs between the vertebrae) by promoting maximum function of spinal imbibition, or hydration, to the discs and spine. By hydrating the discs, nutrients are transferred and the metabolic waste products are removed. The rebound movement is essential when trying to restore and maintain ideal intervertebral function.

The rebounding exercise of Kangoo Jumps is especially good for cardiovascular flow because the workout is primarily focused on the core and the legs. It is easier on the heart to pump blood to the legs as opposed to the arms; however, in a class utilizing the Kangoo Jumps, the instructor is able to choreograph arm movements to increase cardiac output.

The Kangoo Jumps boot, “the world’s lowest impact shoe,” was developed by European physiotherapists to enable individuals with joint and back problems to return to running or other sport-specific training. Because of the strengthening and conditioning benefits of the boots, doctors and physical therapists are now utilizing the Kangoo Jumps boot for the rehabilitation of sports-related injuries.

Rehabilitation time often takes a toll on an individual’s muscle control and balance, but with the continuance of exercise combined with the minimal time needed for recovery associated with the conditioning given by the Kangoo Jumps, athletes can seamlessly transfer into their sport-specific exercises and resume their sport in record time.

Kangoo Jumps can help prevent injury by conditioning the body with workouts wearing the boots, improving the person’s musculoskeletal system and cardiovascular system. These improvements help to keep the body functioning and performing as it should. By having a body in peak condition, people are naturally less susceptible to injury or other health issues.

Working out in the Kangoo Jumps boot also helps to relieve symptoms associated with diabetes and arthritis. By keeping the body moving with rebound aerobic exercise, the circulation that the individual experiences within the body will help stave off the issues that arise from diabetes. The rebound movement keeps the joints from becoming stagnant and arthritic, as well as promoting bone growth, which results in improved bone density scores.

Kangoo Jumps boots and their classes help individuals to get their heart rate up, lose weight and keep moving in a safe and fun way. They naturally boost mood by making users feel happy and carefree, restoring, if for only a moment, that inner child that feels free to bounce.
