Natural Awakenings Northwest Florida

Wellness Rocks Series Host Leading Practitioners

Wellness Rocks, Pensacola’s premier Natural Health Care educational series, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., June 12, in the Everman’s community education room, sponsored by Natural Awakenings in partnership with the Herb Study Group. Sheila Mohammed, M.D., Ph.D., will make a presentation about a new non-surgical procedure to correct joint and spine soft tissue problems through prolotherapy.

Traditional surgical operations require anesthesia, great levels of constant pain, many hours of painful physical therapy and protracted recuperative periods. Prolotherapy holds great promise in allowing the body to heal itself from the inside out, as nature intended.

Also presenting will be Bonnie Mclean DOM, AP, RN, acupuncturist and Oriental medicine expert, who will conduct an overview of integrated medicine, its history and how different modalities are interrelated for a holistic approach to living. Wayne Haynes, a board-certified reflexologist, will share his knowledge of reflexology of the hand and other parts of the body, its interrelationship to specific organs and how manipulation can have a profound effect on daily life.

Admission is free. Location: 315 West Garden St., Pensacola, next to Everman’s Natural Foods. Register (required) call 850-460-3266 or visit WellnessRocksNaturally.com.
