Combat Cravings with Ear Massage

Jan 03, 2015 01:45PM ● By Sheryl Roe

Ear acupuncture is used throughout the world to reduce food cravings, assist in the detoxification of addictive substances, manage pain and calm anxiety. Ear massage is a relaxing and effective therapy to decrease cravings, reduce stress, promote well-being and address a variety of health issues because it triggers the release of endorphins in both the blood and cerebrospinal fluid.

STEP 1 Rub in small circular motions with the thumbs inside the widest upper part inside the ears, holding them from outside with the index and middle fingers.

STEP 2 Use the index finger to massage inside the smaller crevices if thumbs don’t fit and along the front of the ear where it attaches to the head.

STEP 3 Massage the earlobes by gently pulling them down and making circles with the thumb and index finger.
