Basic Stained Glass Workshop at First City Art Center

First City Art Center (FCAC) in Pensacola will offer a three-session introductory course in Basic Stained Glass from 1 to 4 p.m. August 7, 14 and 21. The cost of the workshop is $150 plus supply fees.

“In this class, students will learn the basics of stained glass including scoring and breaking glass, making patterns, grinding glass, soldering and finishing,” says FCAC’s Lauren Lentile. “They will leave with a finished product. One makeup/finish-up class will be offered at the end of the course, and interested students can sign up for more advanced classes if they wish to continue.” The $150 includes tools. There will be additional supply fees for glass and a wood plaque; the instructor will provide these items for purchase. The workshop is offered to people aged 16 and over. It will be held in the FCAC classroom, Building 3.

FCAC, formerly Belmont Arts and Cultural Center, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing art education, community outreach through art experiences and working studio spaces for artists. It is the first and only public glass-blowing facility in Northwest Florida and has fostered multiple award-winning artists over its 13-year history.
