Richard A. Adelman, Jr. MD
At Skin and Vein Wellness, Dr. Richard Adelman focuses on natural hormone replacement, including HGH support. He also offers in-office cosmetic injectables, fat transfer, thermi, and laser and stem cell treatments. "My practice is about enhancing my clients’ quality of life and inner well-being," he says. "I want them to look as good as they feel." He believes that great results aren’t just a result of great execution; they also require education and joint decision making with clients.
As a board-certified Ob/Gyn for more than 30 years, Dr. Adelman focused his attention on the treatment of women’s health issues such as menopause and bioidentical hormone replacement. He attended medical school at the University of South Florida in Tampa and did his residency at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. In 2004, he developed an interest in therapy for varicose and spider veins and completed a preceptorship under Dr. Norman Cohen at the Vein and Aesthetic Center in Jacksonville. He became a board-certified phlebologist in 2009 and, later, a registered phlebology sonographer.
"During my years in gynecology and venous disorders, I encountered many patients needing cosmetic services, and my interest in the cosmetic field prompted me to pursue further education in this specialty," he says. He has trained extensively and has been performing cosmetic treatments since 2006. His practice offers specialized treatments for the face, hair and body, as well as bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and HGH support. He also offers HCG combined with an individualized diet plan for the medical management of obesity, helping clients lose weight in a safe and effective manner. "HCG is the pregnancy hormone, and when present in the body, it controls many of its metabolic functions," he says. "Combined with a 500-to-750-calorie-a-day diet, HCG can force your body to utilize the stored fat in your body, thus losing weight rather rapidly."
