Natural Awakenings Northwest Florida

Psychotherapist to Lead Sound Bath Meditation and Workshop

Fran Clarke, a psychotherapist and licensed clinical social worker, will lead a sound bath meditation on July 20, from 6 to 8 p.m., and teach Introduction to Sound Healing on July 21, from 1 to 5 p.m., at Mainstay Financial Group, located at 28 East Cervantes Street in Pensacola. She calls sound healing meditation “the perfect antidote to an overstressed lifestyle.”

“Research leaves no doubt that stress is a primary cause of inflammation and disease,” she says. “The use of music, sound and vibration is widely recognized as a powerful, effective, pain-free, drug-free and lasting holistic treatment for attaining optimal health and well-being. Whether you’re addressing current, physical, mental or emotional health concerns or seeking preventative care, research-based vibrational therapies can help ‘tune’ your body, mind, spirit and emotions by restoring balance and establishing the conditions for optimal health.”

During a sound bath meditation, participants lie fully clothed on a mat, surrounded by sounds from Tibetan crystal bowls, chimes, gongs and other instruments. “This restorative healing experience influences your emotional and spiritual body as well as your physical body,” Clarke says. “Waves of peace wash over you, and heightened awareness and new insights often emerge.”

Clarke has 30 years’ experience as a psychotherapist, with training and certifications in mind-body therapies and a concentration on applying music, sound and vibration to treat the whole person. She is the founder of Hello to Life Sound Healing Academy.

The sound bath meditation costs $25, and the class costs $65. For more information or to register, visit HelloToLife.com.
