Natural Awakenings Northwest Florida

Registration Open for UWF Summer Camps

Registration is now open for the University of West Florida’s Explore Summer Camps, which give students of all ages—from incoming kindergartners to rising 12th-graders—an opportunity to widen their horizon and discover new strengths.

This year’s camps, offered on UWF campuses and other locations, include old favorites as well as new programs. All of them are taught by certified teachers and professionals and are designed to be engaging and fun.

For example, Marine Science Week 1 will be offered at Gulf Breeze Elementary School, with separate sessions for first and second, third and fourth, and fifth and sixth graders. Campers will experience the local marine environment through a highly interactive enrichment program—going on daily field trips to the sound-side beach to discover local fish species, visiting science dissection labs, taking art classes and experiencing in-class, hands-on learning. They can go on to learn more in session two, offered the following week.

To register at UWF summer camps or for more information, call 850-473-7468, email [email protected] or visit uwf.edu/explorecamps.
