ELDOA Power Stretching Now Available in Santa Rosa County

Maria DePasquale, a health coach and physical conditioning specialist, is now teaching ELDOA classes in Navarre, Gulf Breeze and Pensacola. ELDOA (Étirements Longitudinaux avec Decoaptation Ostéo Articulaire) is a power stretching technique designed to relieve disc compression, decrease pain and improve postural awareness and muscle tone.

DePasquale, whose graduate-level studies in health and fitness focused on nerve decompression techniques, functional diagnostic nutrition and strength and conditioning, began studying nerve decompression to relieve back pain in 2009, when she was operating Specific Fitness in Navarre. She says ELDOA enables her to offer people of all ages and backgrounds something they can achieve, feel and see instantly.

“I’ve already seen success with clients who suffer from bulging discs, scoliosis, sciatica and osteoarthritis,” she says. “Those suffering from work-related repetitive impact, like firefighters and paratroopers, also benefit, as do athletes and weekend warriors.”

Just one minute a day of ELDOA postural techniques can relieve disc compression in certain areas, she says.

DePasquale currently teaches one-hour ELDOA classes Saturdays at 10 a.m. at Holley by the Sea Recreation Center, in Navarre; Mondays at 11:30 a.m. at Core Martial Arts Academy, in Gulf Breeze; and Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. at 4 Squared Holistic Studio, in Pensacola. She is also available for presentations and demonstrations for local groups, churches, service organizations and clubs.
