Mar 28, 2020 04:43AM ● By Daralyn Chase

The third annual Pensacola VegFest, a free, family-friendly vegan food and music festival, will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., March 28, at Community Maritime Park. This award-winning food festival was created to normalize veganism, educate the curious and promote a cruelty-free lifestyle. It will feature activities for all ages, live music, beer and wine, specialty foods and speakers.

At vendor booths, festivalgoers can buy or learn about a variety of things, from cruelty-free food, clothing and jewelry; to animal sanctuaries and nonprofits; to natural soaps and locally made candles. The food section will feature seafood; American, Indian, Brazilian and Ethiopian food; and traditional festival fare.

The welcome booth at the festival entrance will offer educational flyers, food and entertainment, coupons and free food samples. Sign in with an email address to receive a free raffle ticket; extra raffle tickets will be available for $2 apiece. Items will be raffled off throughout the day.

A children’s area will feature face painting, coloring and other activities. Children can also enjoy the playground at Community Maritime Park. There will be free scheduled activities throughout the day, such as a Blessing of the Planet meditation, and yoga for kids, beginners, and intermediate and advanced practitioners.

Sponsors include Natural Awakenings NWF, End of the Line Café, Dynamic, Saden Chiropractic, Baybridge Chiropractic Clinic, the Center for Pranic Healing, Vegan Pensacola, Sammy Barker’s, Vegan Social, Empathic Practice LLC and Complete Landscaping Services.
