Natural Awakenings Northwest Florida

Lymphatic Therapy Boosts Immune System

The lymphatic system serves as the body’s natural waste removal system to filter out viruses and toxins, therefore its function plays an important role in overall wellness. To boost the performance of lymph nodes and the immune system, electro-lymphatic therapy offers a painless, noninvasive form of preventative care.

“When working optimally, lymph nodes can attack viruses and detoxify the body, but if they become overloaded, they become backed up. When lymph fluid becomes slower and stagnant, it gets thick, causing inflammation which can lead to disease and sickness,” says certified lymphatic therapist Carolyn Olson.

With a background in nursing and a decade of experience as a certified clinical thermographer, Olson focuses on holistic care and serves clients in nine Gulf Coast locations from Louisiana to Florida. Her electro-lymphatic device uses light and sound frequencies to break up congested fluid and foster its flow toward the lymph nodes. “A lot of clients say they feel so relaxed that they feel like they’ve had a massage,” Olson says of the sessions, which last about an hour.

Electro-lymphatic therapy can also help patients with general inflammation, lymphedema, neuropathy, edema and water retention, cancer, heart disease, chronic pain, cosmetic enhancement, pre- and post-athletic application, enlarged prostate and general detoxification.
