HoneyMed, Locally Made ‘Superfood,’ Debuts at Farmers Markets

Oct 01, 2020 11:47AM ● By Daralyn Chase

HoneyMed, a locally made “superfood honey” that can be consumed as is or mixed in food or drinks to support health, is now available at the 30A Farmers Markets at Rosemary Beach and Grand Boulevard, as well as online. The blend includes raw honey sourced from a conscious apiary in Crestview, and three organic spices: turmeric, ginger and cayenne pepper.

“These powerful superfoods have long been known for their healing properties. They’re anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and detoxifying, just to name a few,” says Eve Emelianova, who created HoneyMed inspired by a traditional Russian folk medicine. “The added benefits of living enzymes in our unpasteurized wildflower honey, combined with the superfood spices, create a synergetic effect, which makes HoneyMed a true nature's medicine. We believe that taken daily, this delicious honey blend contributes to stronger immunity, gentle detox and more alkaline pH balance, which results in the overall rejuvenation, vitality and extra energy.”

One of the best things about HoneyMed is its versatility, Emelianova says.  It can be used as a sweetener in tea and coffee, or as an ingredient in craft cocktails or homemade healthy lemonade; added to a charcuterie board; used as a glaze or marinade for fish, meat and veggies; or mixed with warm water and lemon to create what she calls a “vitality elixir.”

“Each time you consume HoneyMed honey, you are making a long-term investment in your well-being,” she says.
