Pensacola Wellness Studio Kicks Off Grand Opening Weekend This Month

Pensacola native and licensed massage therapist Daniel Lovelock, along with his wife, Crystal, will officially open the doors of Lovelock Healing Arts—their new wellness studio and clinic on Baylen Street in downtown Pensacola—on January 21, coinciding with Gallery Night.

On January 24, Lovelock Healing Arts will begin offering its full range of services, including therapeutic massage; foundational yoga; The Dailey Method barre classes; a weekday meditation lunch hour (open to the public); and kid-friendly yoga, barre and music classes. The studio will also partner with other alternative health practitioners to present workshops on topics such as sound healing and advanced yoga and barre techniques.

The Lovelocks relocated from Phoenix to the Gulf Coast after a nearly 20-year absence, Dan says.

“We came to reconnect with family, establish new careers and offer my new skillset as a licensed massage therapist to the Pensacola community,” he says. “After the shock of the pandemic, and having fulfilled most of my career goals as a professional musician, I just felt it was time to focus on serving people in a more direct, hands-on way.”

Crystal says the new wellness collective gives her the chance to reconnect with the Dailey Method barre training, teaching experience and managerial role she had while working at the method’s original Marina District studio in San Francisco.

“It also allows us to raise our young daughter in the environment of self-awareness, service to others and mind-body connection that has been the focus of all our goals as a family,” she says.

The grand opening of Lovelock Healing Arts will kick off a full weekend of events, beginning on Friday, January 21, with a Gallery Night open house in partnership with {Misu Street Food?}, LA singer Holly Pyle and Kaya Life Medical Marijuana Consultants.

Saturday’s events will showcase the foundational yoga, barre and meditation practices of the studio and conclude with a sound bath workshop from Slow Radical. Sunday’s events will include an introduction to Mama + Me Yoga and Barre, Toddler Dance, and Kids Music + Meditation, hosted by the Lovelocks. The weekend will conclude with an intention-setting ceremony led by licensed massage therapist Kala Bloxham and friends.
