Natural Awakenings Northwest Florida

Sleigh the Litter Second Annual Beach Cleanup

Those who have been naughty this year still have a chance to get on Santa’s Nice List by participating in Our Corner’s Second Annual Sleigh the Litter Beach Cleanup being held December 3 from 10 a.m. to noon at Park West on Pensacola Beach.

“Our goal for this cleanup is to grow from last year,” says Madison Williams, Our Corner's education and outreach coordinator. “As a special gift, we’ll have an environmental-themed book for children who participate in the cleanup while supplies last, as well as a guarantee to make it onto Santa's Nice List.” Williams adds that festive holiday attire is highly encouraged.

Participants are reminded to wear weather appropriate clothing and closed toe shoes. Reusable water bottles and sunscreen are recommended. All volunteers must sign in at Park West and any minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Our Corner is a 501(c)3 serving Escambia County for over 40 years and specializes in litter reduction, recycling education, and beautification projects in the community.

Location: Park West, 1334 Fort Pickens Rd., Pensacola Beach, FL. To sign up, find this event post on VolunteerMatch.org. Visit the Our Corner Facebook page for weather and event updates. For more information, email [email protected] or call 850-438-1178.
