Natural Awakenings Northwest Florida

A Day of Eco Education and Art

First City Art Center and Earth Day Pensacola are excited to offer EcoKids a free community festival held October 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at First City Art Center in Pensacola, Florida. This fun-filled day features environmental education, hands-on art activities using upcycled materials, food trucks, outdoor activities, music, games and more.

EcoKids strives to bring increased awareness of environmental issues that impact our community and planet; information, ideas and projects that will lead our community toward environmentally beneficial solutions; and inspiration through education on how to make eco-conscious choices as an individual and how those small steps are part of a long-term, collective impact on our environment.

“We are inspired to bring on this fall event to help the younger generation learn how they can make a difference in creating a cleaner future,” says Christian Wagley   Wagley is coastal organizer for Healthy Gulf, working on water quality, energy, and climate issues along the coast of NW Florida and South Alabama. “This event catalyzes to unite individuals and groups working to preserve and protect the earth for future generations. We are committed to acknowledging businesses and organizations dedicated to this mission.”

Ecokids is seeking local vendors and exhibitors who make a positive difference in Pensacola and want to celebrate Earth Day daily with the community.

Cost: Free, with all ages welcome to attend. Location: First City Art Center, 1060 N. Guillemard St., Pensacola. For more information and to submit a vendor application, search for EcoKids 2023 in Facebook events.
