Beachside Chiropractic and Wellness in Destin, Florida, will host a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony from 4 to 6 p.m. on November 2.

Hailing from Peachtree City, Georgia, owner Dr. Kathryn Martine nurtured dreams of a medical career while pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia. “However, my path took an unexpected turn when health issues forced me to rely on a common medication, unknowingly leading to life-threatening side effects, weeks of hospitalization, and months of post-medication struggles,” she recalls. 

During her recovery, Dr. Martine discovered the transformative potential of chiropractic care. This revelation led her to Life University in Marietta, Georgia, where she completed her biology degree and entered the chiropractic program. “I experienced a profound personal transformation, healing from anxiety, chronic digestive issues, allergies, hormonal imbalances, and persistent headaches that had resisted conventional treatments,” she says. 

Post-graduation, Dr. Martine relocated to Destin, expanding her expertise in diverse healthcare settings. She engaged in a spectrum of professional endeavors, from enhancing the performance of professional athletes to collaborating with renowned physicians in orthopedics, podiatry, physical therapy, and pain management.

Having conquered her own illness, Dr. Martine is deeply committed to empowering others in their healing journeys. “Being a doctor transcends mere treatment—it's about educating patients on disease prevention and the restoration of health, enabling them to savor life to the fullest,” she adds. Dr. Martine is also is working towards board certification in Acupuncture, with her intentions of providing various modalities to expedite healing.
